A beautiful baby shower!

Well, it was quite an eventful weekend!  The shower went so well, I think over 70 people came and it was really nice to see everyone and less stressful than I thought it would be.  There were a large array of gifts as you can see and after about an 1 1/2 hours of opening presents, I think I received everything I needed for the baby so I feel really blessed.
A huge thanks to both my mom and mother-in-law who helped to make this shower so beautiful and such a wonderful, unforgettable experience for me.

My mother-in-law had these wrappers covering the candy bars!  The back of the candy bar says, "baby Sherf due July 28th, check the blog for daily updates and pictures."
I thought this picture of Joanna was so cute I just had to include it....
Three moms and one "mom-to-be."  The way I am standing here, I hardly look pregnant.
I wanted to include a picture of my bread machine that my friend Ramona got for me at a yard sale for $3.00!  I thought I would try to make my own bread now that I am at home more...the house smells really good right now and hopefully my first attempt will be successful!  I am making a half whole wheat/half white recipe.
Some pictures of the baby room...I set up the crib last night myself (it was really easy), it is starting to look really cute in there, even Tom thought it looked really good and he is not one to notice these things.
The room is pretty small but a good size for a baby room.  The only additional thing that might be nice would be a rocker but I don't want it to look to squished in there so we'll see.

Hello Dawn! I am so sad I missed your baby shower! Heaven knows why I thought it was Sunday rather than Saturday. I was SO looking forward to seeing you and your sisters (and the little ones). Happy to hear is was such a blessing to you.

I love making bread and using a bread maker is great. I rarely bake in mine... but almost always use it to mix and for the 1st rise. You can shape the dough anyway you like as in a loaf, round or rolls. Taste of Home is on line and they have many tasty recipes for Bread Machines. My blog post today has a new recipe for a savory bread with lots of pepper. You could easily leave out the pepper but it wasn't strong at all.

So excited for you and Tom as you prepare for you little girl. The nursery is so cute. I am impressed you were able to assemble the crib yourself.

Love, Mrs. H

The nursery looks awesome!!! I love the new furniture. That's funny, I saw that picture of me and Joanna and I wondered who that person was with Joanna:) You got some great pictures of the shower, it was so nice to be able to spend that time with you.

Mrs. Hebler, I heard about what happened with you thinking the shower was Sunday. I am sorry you missed it. Thanks for the website tip on bread. I am looking forward to using it more.
