Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well, it's been a busy past week, He and She went to visit 5 families in four days!  It was tiring but wonderful to see family again.

So, I thought this whole morning sickness thing was going away, Saturday was a pretty good day for me as well as Sunday during the day...I didn't feel bad at all.  "Maybe this is over?" I thought.  But I was wrong.  After leading a service for the seniors in our church in our 2 times a year hymn sing, I began to feel the tell-tale signs of that sick-to-your-stomach feeling.   Maybe, I was just run down from all the partying, and I would have slept in on Monday but unfortunately, we had to wake up at 7AM to drive 3 hours down the turnpike to a wedding.  I had a headache all day and when we got home, I collapsed in bed. Yesterday was no better.  Ick. Hopefully, if I am like the rest of the women in my family, this should be over soon.

And now, one more party to go to, a New Year's Eve party tonight with an 80's theme.  We go to this party every year and it is always so much fun.  It is still very quiet here with no students. Today, I made myself some of the "pregnancy tea" which seems to help my stomach and He and I worked out together and did his surfing workout.  Happy New Year to all!

Gingerbread house!

Just to warn you, there is a picture of my belly below so if you don't want to see it, don't scroll down.

I had friends over today and they kindly came and made me lunch (a spinach salad with chicken) and made gingerbread houses together that they had gotten from AC Moore for $6 a piece.  I don't consider myself a very creative person but I was very proud of my creation that I made.  I thought it looked cute.  So now we have a christmas tree and gingerbread house in here and it really feels like Christmas now!

Cute right? It took a couple of hours but with friends and hot apple cider, it was quite fun!

He has been commenting that I am starting to expand in the belly region and I have been denying but I think this picture shows that I am growing a little bit.  I am almost 10 weeks along now...

It is still pretty small and you can't tell but there is definitely a little bump there.

Friday, He and I went to the first ultrasound and got to see the little peanut.  Amazing!  I teared up when I saw the little heart beating.   It is very sad to think that someone would want to abort something so precious.   We don't know the sex of the baby yet and won't find out for another month probably but found out that I am farther along than initial predictions and my new due date is July 22nd.  It was kind of funny because He and I went together and they tell you that you should drink 32 oz. of water an hour before coming in for the ultrasound so they can see the baby better.  And of course, you can't go to the bathroom until after the ultrasound! Well, I knew I was gonna have a problem when I got out of the car.  I felt sick from drinking all that water and tried walking very slowly up to the office door but to no avail...I threw up all over the sidewalk!  Thankfully, even though I threw up some of the water I drank, I still had enough in me for them to see the baby so it all turned out okay.  Hopefully, this morning sickness thing won't last for too much longer.  It hasn't been too bad, just feeling tired and queesy for most of the day but at least I am not throwing up all the time.

Where have we been???!!!

Recently, I have been receiving a little friendly nudging on posting on the blog since it's been a while.  Since all the students are moving out today and I have just been putzing around the house doing laundry and cleaning, this is my perfect opportunity to tell you what's been going on lately.

First, the musical.  We had over 1200 people come through and see it (including my sisters and their husbands and kids) and it went so well and I was so proud of the kids and what they accomplished.  I think it was a great experience for them and the response to it was overwhelmingly positive so it was a great blessing and I am thankful for the opportunity.

Second, Thanksgiving.  It was, as always, an interesting time of seeing family again...in all, we went to 4 parties that weekend and were a little tired of eating turkey I think but of course a good time was had by all.

Third, finals!  This week, I had finals and it was a wonderful consolation knowing that it was the last time (I think...unless I decide to do another degree :) ) I will be taking exams or finishing up projects so now I can breathe a sigh of relief because it is all over.  Now, all I have to do is sit back and wait until Jan. 21 when my student teaching begins.

Finally, last but not least, He and I found out this month that we will be parents next summer!  We are both very excited and are looking to welcome our little bundle of Joy in the end of July.
Below is a picture of our Christmas Tree we got this year.  We call it the "fat boy" because it is only 5 feet tall and a little squat but it was fun to get a tree this year since we haven't for a couple of years now and decorate it together.  See you all at Christmastime!

The final push, I can't believe it's almost here!

Well, we are now officially less than a week away from the first performance of the kids musical I have been in charge of.  I can't believe how quickly time has flown!  I have been enjoying working with the kids every week but this last rehearsal we had on Sunday was so exhausting.  I had adult choir that sang in the morning services which meant I had to be at church by 8:30AM.  Since choir sang in all three services, there was no way I could leave or go anywhere to rest until the kids rehearsal.  HE also woke up early that morning but went for a morning surf and then met me at the 11 service.

After church, I had to work on getting the children's set on ASAP so we could start our rehearsal on time.  HE was kind enough to run and get me something to eat so I could keep working and rehearsal went extremely well.  It was so encouraging to see all the kids pull together the way they did.  After rehearsal, I had to work on fixing some of our lights for the musical so I didn't even leave the church until 7:30PM that night...an 11 hour day spent entirely at the church!  It was so funny because HE kept calling me and telling me he missed me.  Needless to say, I felt like a load of bricks hit me this morning when I woke up.  Please pray everything goes well this weekend, I am so blessed to have this experience, I have really learned a lot.

Our fans...

Just thought I would share with everyone what we found on our door the other day...

Apparently, there are some students that think this is pretty funny...He walked out to his car
two weeks ago and found his car similarly covered in little post-it notes.  I don't know if you can read them but they all say things like, "You are awesome," and other such things.  We have yet to take them off the door because I get a kick out of looking at it every time I walk in.

CHANGE!!

I apologize but I have some random thoughts and ramblings for todays post...

Change is all I have heard over the past 2 years...let's pray that the change we get is a good change!  God is sovereign!

Things are busy busy busy right now.  He is the busiest ever in his job right now....I signed up for my last semester this week and am really excited to be student teaching in the spring.

The musical is almost here!  I had a case of anxiety Sunday night when I tried to go to bed...I couldn't stop thinking about what we still have left to do and hoping there is enough time to do it in.

I have been enjoying my new workout routine since stopping my other job...running three times a week and lifting 2x.  I have been motivated so far and enjoying the progress I have been making...He and I were having a wrestling match last night and he said "You're strong." A little confirmation does a body good!

Can Perfection be found in Jersey?

An answer in one word...YES!  Hey everyone...He Here...Last week was one of the most difficult work weeks I think that I have ever experienced.  The reasons are numerous, but one of things that kept me going was knowing that the surf on Sunday was going to be "all time."  I think I surfed for about 9 hrs. that day.  I can't tell you how many times I was tubed...it makes me giddy even thinking about it.  Interestingly enough I even broke one of my fingers while in the water that day...but still wouldn't leave...the surf was that unbelievable.  At the end of my session my arms felt like jello, my finger looked like a sausage and was black and blue, and I almost fell asleep driving home.  But, all in all, it was well worth it.  Once I got home I found that part of my day was well documented.  I happened upon a NJ surfing site and found that my friend and I had numerous pics put up on the web.  Nice little treat...so yes perfection in Jersey can be found and I hit the jack pot!  Enjoy!

5 Reasons I love my husband

I was tagged by Amy so here it is...
5 reasons I love my husband
1. He first loved me.
My husband is an amazing example to me of God's love.  He loved me long before I loved him and always tells me he never found anyone that could measure up to me.
2. He makes me laugh.
I think my reasons will probably be similar to everyone else's but he really does make me laugh. I think he says and does the funniest things and I have learned over the years that laughter helps make the harder times easier to handle.
3. He is the spark.
I love being around him.  This week, he has been really busy with work, with meetings every single night so I haven't seen much of him and I really missed him.  He is truly my best friend.
4.  He knows me better than anyone else
He knows just what to say to help me when I am struggling or have a question and he understands me and believes in me and gives me confidence in myself.
5. He challenges me to be better
He has a unique way of calling out my sin without being critical and demeaning.  I am so grateful to God for giving him to me as a partner in life together. I know this is sappy:)

Fun Pic-a-lics

Hey all...He here...life has been very busy and after so much work and fun, I finally have some spare time to post a bit.  She has been doing a great job keeping up to date but has been waiting for me to post a few pics to update you all with to give a bit of perspective so...here are three. The first is me (He) working with one of the most stubborn employees I have ever worked with...sucker just wouldn't move...even after my slick coaxing--everyone watching thought it was hilarious at my struggle.  The second is a pic of me surfing the kyle tropical storm, and the last is one of my long lost brother...I found him on the web...I will post more when I get a chance...later gator!

God has a sense of humor...

Wow! What an interesting week we have had.  Full of some interesting and unexpected surprises. On Monday, I got a call from my voice teacher telling me a nearby Christian school had a need for a part time music teacher pre-k to 6th grade starting in two weeks.  She told me she recommended me and that I should expect a call from the principal.  Well, all day Monday went by and all day Tuesday and no call so I kind of put it in the back of my mind and didn't worry about it.  On Wednesday, I got up as usual and did my morning routine, workout, drink coffee and read the news.  This particular day, I had planned on driving up to visit my sister Amy but after talking to her that morning, we both decided it would be too wet to do some work in her garden and so rescheduled for Monday.  About a half hour after hanging up with my sister, my phone rang again.  It was the principal.  I talked to her for a little while and expressed that I was interested and she asked if I could come and observe a few classes and meet with her that day.

Needless to say, I was driving over to the school within the hour, my resume and references in hand, praying hard that God might give me wisdom in this situation.  Well, it all went well and I was very excited about the prospect after viewing the classes and talking with the principal. One slight hitch...I am still in school finishing up my classes this semester and am scheduled to student teach next semester.  So I have an appointment with the head of the education department at the university on Tuesday so then I will know if I will be allowed to count this teaching towards my required student teaching.  If so, He and I have decided I will take the job, if not, I will have to stay the course.

The funny thing is, that same day I was running around like a maniac, I also got a call asking me if I would be interested in another part time job at the university.  I had to laugh, when it rains, it pours I guess.  So pray for us that we make the right decision.  I will have to make these decisions in the next week or so.

On another note, this weekend is homecoming and last night He rode a donkey for "donkey ball", a tradition now at school that involves riding donkeys and attempting to play basketball . Two years ago, I rode a donkey and that was enough of an experience for me.  Those donkeys are trained to move only when the trainer makes them, otherwise, they just stand there.  But it is funny to watch.  I'll see if I can get some pictures of He on the donkey for all of you next time. There was also a powder puff game which was fun to watch (It seemed to me that the freshman girls crushed the upper class women in this game...!).

Thursday night, the big debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden.  He and I both watched it and thought Palin was very good and articulate.  Catching the news though, you would never think that.  It is interesting how the media spins these things.  Thankfully, the Lord is in control.

He, the successful chef!!

I was so impressed and proud of my man, last night we had 10 kids over for dinner and He took care of making dinner for everyone!  It was a huge success, everyone loved the food!  He made burgers with lettuce, onion, tomatoe, cheese, bacon and an egg on top!  A fattening meal but really tasty nonetheless!  So we had dinner at our house and played the game Scene It.  Boys versus girls and the boys won (I think because they watch more movies than girls).  After, we played Settlers in the Lounge until it was time to watch the debates.

Anyone watch the debates last night?  We went over to our friends house and watched it and then discussed our reactions after it was all over.  We both felt that Obama was very impressive in his presentation, he is a very good public speaker, good looking, young and "fresh"  (It could almost be compared to the Nixon/Kennedy debates).  We were more impressed with McCain's content however and there were some funny comments that McCain said to Obama last night..."You're parsing words, my friend..."

Where we've been

I feel it's been a little while since I last wrote.   We have been busy as usual.  I guess the most fun thing we've done in the last two weeks was go to Bookbinders for restaurant week.  Normally, a meal at such a restaurant would be expensive and we would never bother spending so much money on food but during restaurant week, you just pay a flat fee and you get an appetizer, entre and dessert.

I have been enjoying my classes this semester so far.  The one that is the most interactive is my percussion class.  Last class I learned how to play a roll, right hand lead, play the cymbals and the methods for playing timpani.  there are only 4 people in the class so we all get a lot of help as we are learning.  He has been enjoying having me come home and practice on my drum pad with my sticks!

Sundays are still exhausting for me.  The musical is going along quite well and I love the kids who are in it.  This Sunday, the choir sang in church and everyone said they did a great job.  I had a girlfriend who I met at school last year drive down with me Sunday morning to sing the solo in choir.  She knew that by carpooling with me she would be stuck at church all day since I have rehearsals for the musical and adult choir on Sunday afternoons but she stuck with me.  It was kind of flattering that she wanted to observe my conducting and rehearsals.

He is doing well.  Tonight we met friends for dinner and now he is busy setting up for his "guys movie night" (of course, I will be the only girl there but I don't think I will hang with them since they will be watching a surfing movie).  I think I will work on some homework and go to bed.  I have been sleeping very lightly lately and don't know why.  Good night all!

Beautiful flowers

I received these beautiful flowers from ProFlowers on Aug. 27 from my mother-in law for overseeing the hymn sing and they are still going strong!  There were roses in the bunch but they only lasted a week.

Another week seems to have flown by!  Here are some of the highlights:

Tuesday: Classes all day...tried a new meal for dinner and it turned out great...Chicken Cattchiatore with blanched broccoli and rice.  The chicken was first coated with flour and then dredged in a mixture of finely chopped spinach, spices and parm. cheese.  Then it was cooked first on the stove and baked in the oven for the final minutes.  Yummy!
Wednesday: Drove to the next state to get pictures taken for the church directory and had dinner with mom and dad, homemade whole wheat pizza.
Thursday: Classes again all day.  Played games with a bunch of students at night until late.
Friday: Work at the church...had dinner at home...made homemade pizza for dinner with mushrooms and broccoli (He loves mushrooms).
Saturday: Homework, housework in the morning and a shopping trip to BJ's with HE for some bulk items.  It was pouring rain by the time we came out of the store and we both got soaked!  Later, we went over a friend house for dinner and then all went out to see a not so hot movie.  The most exciting thing that happened at the movie is that He managed to get a bunch of young kids kicked out of the theater who were being completely rude and disruptive!  It was so funny, there must have been twenty kids that were ejected from the theater for being disruptive and He was the one brave enough to tell the security guard who they were.  (I think his words were, "It was those six down there!  Get them out of here!" It was so funny because when he said something, the other people in the theater joined in, I don't even remember the first half of the movie, that's how bad these kids were)  When they were taken out, the rest of the people in the theater clapped, which probably only further angered these kids who then decided it would be a good idea to throw their sodas over the theater wall at us.  One of the sodas got me on the arm (not too bad though) and the other one drenched one of our friends who was sitting in the same row as us.  I kept thinking, where are the parents of these kids...it was ridiculous!
Sunday: from now until Nov. 23, this day will be hard for me I think.  Went to church, went out to lunch with Gmom and then promptly went back to church to get everything ready for rehearsal.  With forty kids in the musical, it takes a lot of planning to make sure that time is used wisely and efficiently so I am learning there is an incredible amount of time involved in getting things ready before the rehearsal even begins.  Thankfully,  everything went extremely well, we got quite a lot accomplished at the rehearsal and so I think all the planning beforehand was helpful in this regard.  Adult choir practice also began and this went pretty well.  It was nice to have adult choir after the kids since by 4:30PM yesterday, I was tired from running after all those kids and keeping them focused. Sigh.  I love it but it is tired and I am feeling the effects today.
Monday: Today afforded me the opportunity to recover from yesterday so I am thankful for that.  I have been reading The Grand Weaver by Ravi Zacharias at night.  I must admit, I am not a huge fan of his style of writing but the message of the book is wonderful.  Tonight, we are having company and He is in charge of grilling burgers while I am making a salad.  We are expecting 8 people but there always seem to be more that show up.  We are blessed to have a great group of close knit friends that we hang out with on a weekly basis.  I enjoy the times of fellowship, game playing, food and fun and am grateful for the environment God has placed us in.  I know this type of life would not be suitable for everyone but we both love the amount of interaction with younger kids that are in such a crucial time of their lives and things are never boring around here!  It really is a good life and I am thankful for the blessings God gives us every day.

A weekend apart...

In an effort to save some gas and participate in a bike ride early Saturday morning, I decided to spend Friday and Saturday night at my Mom and Dad's house.  So Friday morning, I packed up some stuff for the weekend and drove to Jersey to work.

Saturday, I got up early with Dad and went on a long bike ride with him and a few other people from church.  I was the only one riding a mountain bike, everyone else had road bikes so I was pretty tired by the end but Mom managed to snap a shot of me smiling...

We went 27 miles!  I was expecting to be sore on Sunday but was pleasantly surprised to find that, although I felt tired, was not sore.  I have been (so far) enjoying exercising on my own again since stopping work at the tree job.  Up until then, I didn't need to exercise since work was so physically taxing.  There has also been a girl up where we are living that likes to go for long walks at night so I do that with her as well (last night, we walked 4 miles!)

Sunday marked the first day of rehearsal for the kids musical that I am running.  It was both exciting and exhausting.  I am realizing it is going to be a lot of work every week prepping for the rehearsal and a lot of details I have to make sure don't fall through the cracks.

On another note, I finally got the results from the first round of Praxis tests I took this summer (required for every teacher to take) and I passed all of them!  It was a relief because if my scores were not high enough, I would have to schedule to take them again and it could hold up my student teaching because I have to have passed them before student teaching which is scheduled to begin in January.  Second round of tests is this coming Saturday.  I have been studying for this exam and hope that I am prepared enough, thankfully, now I know somewhat what the test will be like since I already took the math, reading and writing tests.  I can't believe if everything goes well this will be my last semester of classes! (Unless someone wants to pay for me to get a doctorate, ha ha)

He has been busy as ever...he missed me this weekend while I was away and made sure to make himself busy because he doesn't like being in the house when I am not there.   Saturday, he spent the day working on his other hobby (fixing surfboards).  He enjoys working with his hands and he can make a little extra on the side when he does this.  Well I am off to do housework and homework!  "Talk" to you later!

You have been tested and found...

The grades are in!  I have been checking my student account the past few days to see if my grades have come in from the classes I have taken this summer.  I always have a little competition with He as to who will get the better grade...well, it's a tie!  We both got all A's for our classes.

The last week has been interesting since He has been busy with his job at the beginning of the year.  My weekend was spent hanging with my sisters and their families on Saturday and then Sunday running the hymn sing and then going to G-mom's birthday party.  Coming home Sunday evening was a shock with all the noise and commotion.  It's not going to be quite anymore.  As I type, there are quite a few people out in the lounge playing games and drums and singing and laughing, etc.  It's certainly never dull.  Tonight was He's big meeting where he explains all the rules to everybody.  Then afterwards we had an ice cream party.  Despite being busy, He is still making time for me which I appreciate.

Classes started again on Tuesday! Last semester for me and then Student teaching starting in January!  I am so excited!  I have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays and then get to be a little Suzy homemaker on Wednesdays.  Today, I got to clean and dust the house which had been sorely neglected this summer due to my busyness.

By the way, that last picture everyone saw on our blog might be the most anyone will see of us on this site.  Unless someone can convince He that it is safe, the man of my household is not comfortable with the idea of posting pictures of us on a website for anyone to see.  Maybe He will change His mind!!  I know I always enjoy looking at everyone else's pictures so we will see.

A little easier

Hey everybody,

things have been settling down.  He turned in His last assignment this morning after a late night of working (I think He came to bed around 3AM).  So that's done...

Meanwhile, She has been enjoying some down time.  I finished all my work and so spent the day in the city yesterday with a girlfriend.  This friend knows I have been looking for a decent mountain bike and has been looking on Craig's list for me.  So yesterday, we drove over to Swarthmore to meet a guy who was selling this Trek Women's mountain bike. Unfortunately, it turned out to not look as nice as it did in the pictures online so we walked away from the bike when we couldn't negotiate the price lower.   It was a decent bike but not worth what he was asking in my opinion.  I'll have to keep looking I suppose!

Today, was a nice, run around and do errands and clean the house kind of day.  Things have gotten a little neglected since I have been taking so many classes and working this summer so the past two weeks have been such a welcome relief.  It was so beautiful out I decided to go to the nearby park for a run.  I used to run a lot in high school but haven't been into it lately.  So now I am trying to build my stamina up again mostly because my sister wants to get into running since having her second baby and it is something fun we can do together once in a while.  I was able to run for almost exactly a half an hour before I had to stop but it did feel good to be outside in the sunshine and not inside studying as I have been doing much of the summer!

One more time....

Hello everyone...He here...I am about to begin my school project (it is a bit late...but still a guys gotta do what he gotta do).  The picture just shows the full extent of my excitement that is after a wicked strong cup of coffee courtesy of She!  Today was not too bad of a work day, did a bit of training and even was required to attend the phillies game...it is a truly an awesomer life!  Once returning home...traffic was a bit of a bear...I showed She the shoe video on my previous post and She suggested that I put up a few others that I forgotten about...all are very funny...great parodies...theologically inaccurate but funny nonetheless...She thinks that video 1 & 3 are the funniest!  Also...just a slight disclaimer...watching this may make your hair straight!

Only a few more days...

Hey everyone...He here...She is out hanging out with a friend and almost bought a bike.  The bike she was looking at was an older Trek that the owner wanted $400something...after talking about it she decided to throw out a lowball out and see what happens.  Of course he said that the bike shop said they would give him much more than Her's price, but whatever...he is missing out on some serious change...

As for me, I am stilling working strong and just looking forward to next Tues...that is when things will begin to calm down a bit...I will probably be putting in a couple hours tonight doing school work...my deadline is 2am tonight.  We'll see if I will hit it!  Otherwise...a swell is on the way...most likely I will be grabbing it next week!  Boo-yah!

Also, here is another little treat I found on youtube...probably my favorite commercial I have ever seen!  Never thought that is where some company's get their shoes...

What UP!

He here family and friends...haven't had much time to do much of anything but work...wish I could post my schedule but my employer probably wouldn't like that all that much...anyway just to give you a taste..Today was a 9:30am-11:00pm...kinda lame right...needed something to look forward to so found this on youtube...only about two weeks till I get to another I get to rock it like I got it!

80s music and quad fish fun!

The college life...

Well, this weekend has certainly been more eventful than the week.

Friday, I worked at the church and then, since He was tied up with work, went over to visit, have dinner and watch a movie with my two sister's in law...thanks K and J.S and J.M.!  It was fun...

When I came home that night around 10PM, He was still working so I caught a little of the Olympics (wow, Michael Phelps has been fun to watch!) until He came home at Midnight.  Then, we both decided to go over to the rock wall at the school and climb around.  We went to bed that night at 2AM!  That's the true college life!

Saturday was fun as well.  I spent the morning working on a project for one of my classes and then decided it was such a nice day out so I went over to a local park for a run.  Then, for dinner, we all (He's team, about 40 people in all) went back to the park, had dinner and played ultimate frisbee.  So today I am feeling a little sore from all that sprinting and running around.

Today, He had to go to church with He's team and I had to go to our church to audition kids for the musical.  I have found some boys that want to be involved.  Two boys came up to me after auditions and asked if it wasn't too late to be involved in the musical so I was encouraged by this.  I am really excited about doing this musical with the kids but hope that I can do a good job.  All of the kids that came in today seem like really well-behaved so hopefully I won't have too much trouble but I'll just have to wait and see I guess. We start rehearsals on the 31st of August so I don't have a whole lot of time to worry about it.

He hasn't gone surfing for two weeks now...he is missing it but hasn't had time lately to get away. He is doing alright though, just a little tired from working so much.  He just a few more weeks of this type of schedule and then things will settle down.  Ah, the college life!  There is certainly a lot of action going on right now!

Hello Everyone...He here...I can't tell you how awesome She is...even despite the fact that I am regularly away and interacting with my team she perseveres and dedicates herself to helping and being there for me...She comes from good stock as you can see from the photo below.

The busy life

Another busy week! I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday working on post course work for my grad classes. He has been super busy with students and helping the new team gel. Wednesday night was my last class/exam for the summer. I took two math classes at Yucks County College this summer and Wednesday was the last exam. Yay!

Yesterday and today I worked at the church. I have really enjoyed being in the office, it has been such a blessing and I am thankful for the opportunity. I have a great supervisor and a great working environment!

The first picture is a picture we took of the moonlight on the beach in O.C. and this picture is what we look at every time we walk through our front door (watch your toes!).

Sunday, August 10, 2008

He spent the day working on a project for His class.  She had sign ups for the kids musical starting soon!  What an exciting response!  So many kids wanted to participate, there were a total of 34 kids wanting to audition....unfortunately, 30 of those are girls so She may have to do some recruitment and phone calling to pursuade some more boys to participate.  I know it's not considered "cool" for boys to be involved in such a thing so I may have to call their mothers to make them do it!  Ha Ha.

Well, today was a wonderful sermon in church about God's love for us (Eph. 5:1).  The point to ponder is that we are commanded to love each other as Christ loved us, however, we cannot fully love others, without first understanding how much God loves us.  Knowing the deepness and unconditional love of God for us in our sin and ugliness is the only thing that frees us to love others.

He spent the day stressed.  He kind of procrastinated on a project for a class and now is feeling the pressure to get it done.  So He spent all day working on it and is still typing as She posts this.

Hey everyone...He here.  She is right...but I gotta persevere through this junk.  Man wish I could get some surf and relax a bit but it is flat of course (and hopefully will be for the next 2 weeks).  However, just think only a few months from now it could be like the pic below.  Here is a shot from last November's Noel swell--just a little context--jumped out of bed and went to Rockaway Beach, NY to catch it with a few others...man what a wicked day--this pic is a small reform off the jetty--plenty of others were bigger...but hey man...I got a picture!

The Awesomer life of He exposed

Well...while She was at home sleeping, He had to actually work today.  Now He's job is not a typical 9-5.  Rather, is flexible-bendy-wendy wicked fun type of job that changes with the seasons.  So, a typical day may include a few meetings, about 4 hrs. of office work and then a bit of time building community/relationships through surfing, hanging out, etc.  Truly an awesomer job.  Today was no different!  Today I found a hobby to supplement the most fun of all--wave sliding.  The picture will note the fun that I had...Today She and He will go to get some gear to start doing this together...

An answer to the philosophical question...

Now She and He know what you're all thinking...we're doing this because the rest of the family is doing it, but no...really...we have important things to say.  We believe we're awesomer!  Let us give you an example of the awesomeness that is She and He.

Like today, for instance.  We both worked, came home and ate some pizza, painted a table and played board games with some friends until Midnight.  She won by the way, by sabotaging He.  He wasn't too happy about it, but He'll get over it.  Yeah...it's an awesomer life!  She and He do wicked cool things, wait and see.

Let's take another example of our awesomer life!  Like last night.  We both worked, came home and went to dinner with friends.  We had chicken and salad and a cake for He who had a birthday this week.  He is getting old but still has an awesomer attitude.

Sorry everyone, He here now, She was in quite a silly mood, but everything that she wrote above is very much true.  Our lives are as eventful as the company we keep and as exciting as the circumstances we engage in.  I know that is vague, but hey this is the internet and who knows who is really reading this thing anyway.  Despite that...we will continue to regularly update this with our misadventures.

Family She and He are ready to invite you to read and reflect upon an awesomer life!
